Armenian Wrestler: "I Thank Azerbaijan"

"I would like to thank Azerbaijan for organizing the World Championship at such a high level."

According to Oxu.Az, these remarks were made by Armenian wrestler Janes Nazaryan, who won the gold medal in the 71 kg weight category at the World Championship held in Baku.

He said that the Armenian team received a warm welcome in Baku:

"Our morale was very high. The competition was organized at an excellent level, and there were many strong participants. I believe this championship will motivate us even more. For that, I would like to thank the organizers and everyone who contributed. My opponents were very strong. I wouldn't say any of them were weak; on the contrary, they were very well prepared. However, I performed better and achieved a good result."

Nazaryan also emphasized the hospitality shown by both the organizers and the Azerbaijani authorities:

"Everything was well organized. We received a very warm welcome. Both the organizers and the Azerbaijani state treated us exceptionally well."
