Zinedine Zidane Named New France Head Coach

Zinedine Zidane is set to replace Didier Deschamps as head coach of the France national team following Deschamps' departure.

According to QOL.az, the information was reported by renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

The source said that Deschamps' tenure as France head coach came to an end after the team's defeat to Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals last night, which ended their campaign. Under his leadership, France won one FIFA World Cup title and also reached one additional World Cup final and one semi-final.

Romano added that Zidane will take over as the new head coach of the French national team.

The 56-year-old Didier Deschamps had been in charge of France since 2012.
