Qarabağ Will Not Sell Tickets to CSKA Fans – The Shocking Reason

UEFA has launched disciplinary proceedings concerning the supporters of Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia. As a result, ticket sales for the club's away match against Qarabağ have been suspended.

According to Faktxeber.az, citing Qol.az, the decision follows incidents that occurred during CSKA Sofia's UEFA Europa League first qualifying round second-leg match against Derry City. During the game, clashes broke out between CSKA supporters and opposing fans, forcing the match to be temporarily suspended.

In an official statement published on the club's website, CSKA Sofia said that UEFA had recommended suspending ticket sales for the club's supporters for the Europa League second qualifying round away fixture against Qarabağ in Baku until the disciplinary proceedings are concluded.

Despite the restriction, the Sofia-based club emphasized that it would make every possible effort to ensure its supporters can attend the match scheduled for July 23.

"Our club will present all of its arguments to UEFA regarding the incidents that occurred, as well as the actions taken by Derry City and the Northern Ireland authorities concerning security measures and the organization of the match," the statement said.

CSKA Sofia also urged its supporters to remain calm and responsible, stressing that the club firmly condemns aggressive behavior, hooliganism, racism, and all forms of discrimination.
