Writer Who Published 371 Books with AI Becomes a Millionaire
A South African author has produced 371 books in 20 months using artificial intelligence and become a millionaire.
Faktxeber.az reports, citing the radio station EWN.
The woman, who works under the pen name Coral Hart, says she has earned more than one million dollars with the help of AI technologies.
The author began using AI to prepare literary works in February 2025. By then, she had already worked in publishing for 14 years and had independently written dozens of books.
According to the report, total sales of her books have passed one million copies. Her income in 2026 alone exceeded one million dollars.
Hart spent about three months developing her own text-generation system. During that time, she explored the capabilities of various AI programs and systematized the book production process.
Today, it takes the AI just 45 minutes to produce a first draft of a novel.
However, the author does not hand the creative process over to technology entirely. Building the plot, defining the characters, choosing the narrative style and preparing a detailed outline of each chapter remain her own responsibility.
The AI-generated text goes through a multi-stage editing process.
First, the AI edits the work twice to eliminate plot inconsistencies and other flaws. Then a human editor reviews the text and corrects features typical of machine-generated writing.
Only after that is the book sent for publication.
Note that the figures on the number of books and earnings are based on the author's own statements. Earlier reports said Hart published more than 200 novels in 2025 and earned a six-figure income. The new figures of 371 books and more than one million dollars in income have not been independently confirmed.
