Turkey to Transfer S-400 Systems to Another Country – Breaking

According to information available to me, Turkey has sold its S-400 air defense systems to a third country.

Axar.az reports that this claim was made by Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi.

«“The agreement will be announced today (Friday). The S-400 systems are being sent to a Gulf country. Efforts were underway yesterday to resolve some remaining issues, and it was reported that they were settled by midnight. Some say the destination is the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while others claim it is Qatar. It is best to wait for the official announcement,” Selvi wrote.»

It is worth noting that U.S. President Donald Trump visited Ankara a few days ago and met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the meeting, Trump reportedly said that CAATSA sanctions on Turkey would be lifted and that F-35 fighter jets would be supplied to the country.

Russia's S-400 air defense system has long been considered the main obstacle to Turkey's return to the F-35 program.
