Sabah Defeats KuPS in Champions League Qualifier

Azerbaijan's UEFA Champions League representative, Sabah, has played its first match in the second qualifying round.

According to Faktxeber.az, the Baku-based club hosted Finnish side KuPS at Bank Respublika Arena.

The Azerbaijani champions secured a 1–0 victory, with the only goal of the match scored by Veljko Simić in first-half stoppage time (45+1').

The return leg will be played in Finland on July 28. The winner of the tie will face the victor of the AGF (Denmark) vs. Lech Poznań (Poland) matchup in the third qualifying round.
