German Defense Company Producing Drones for Ukraine at Secret Facility
German defense company Helsing, which supplies unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Ukraine, is manufacturing drones at a secret facility located in southern Germany.
According to Ölkə.az, the information was reported by The New York Times.
The newspaper states that the factory is situated in a suburban industrial area and operates under some of the strictest security measures. The company's name does not appear anywhere on the premises, and employees are required to sign strict confidentiality agreements.
In the event of a security threat, the production facility can reportedly be shut down and relocated within a single day.
The report adds that since the end of 2024, Helsing has delivered thousands of drones to Ukraine.
In January, Bloomberg, citing a report by the German Ministry of Defense and sources familiar with the matter, reported that Ukraine had suspended additional orders for Helsing's HX-2 attack drones after drone trials on the front line produced unsatisfactory results.
