A 32-Year-Old Photo Taken with the National Leader Was Presented to the President – Photo

As previously reported, President Ilham Aliyev visited Quzeyxirman village in the Khojavend district on July 11.

According to Faktxeber.az, the head of state was briefed on the reconstruction of private homes and infrastructure in the villages of Quzeyxirman and Guneyxirman.

President Ilham Aliyev then met with residents who had returned to both villages.

During the meeting, the President was shown a photograph taken 32 years ago with Azerbaijan's National Leader, Heydar Aliyev.

Resident: Mr. President, may God bless you. You have continued the policy of our National Leader. You liberated our lands from the enemy. May God grant you good health, protect your family, and keep you with us for many years.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you very much.

Resident: We have a photograph taken with our National Leader. This is me, and this is Aliyev. In April 1994, he came to the front line and met with us in the trenches, offering his recommendations. His visit greatly boosted the morale of all the soldiers and personnel.

President Ilham Aliyev: Yes, yes. Was this in the Beylagan direction?

Resident: No, it was in the Aghdam direction.

President Ilham Aliyev: 1994.

Resident: After our National Leader visited and returned, we advanced several kilometers.
