Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates U.S. President Donald Trump

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory message to the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

According to Faktxeber.az, the letter reads:

"Dear Mr. President,

It is with great pleasure that, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America, I extend my sincere congratulations to you and, through you, to the friendly American people on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, along with my best wishes.

By declaring its independence with the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, two hundred and fifty years ago—a document that became a symbol of the struggle for freedom, unwavering determination, and democracy—the United States of America helped shape a new world order not only on its own continent but across the globe.

Over the years, the United States has followed a remarkable path of development and today stands as a strong and influential nation on the global stage. Thanks to the determined and resolute policies you are pursuing, your country continues to achieve outstanding successes while further strengthening its leadership, credibility, and international prestige.

It is gratifying to see the successful and steadily growing relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in recent times. We highly value the strategic partnership established between our two countries and express our gratitude for the great importance and support you have consistently given to strengthening our bilateral ties.

I am confident that the Strategic Partnership Charter, signed in February and elevating our relations to a qualitatively new level, will further advance cooperation not only in traditional areas such as the economy, energy, connectivity, and security, but also in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and other important fields.

We also highly appreciate your determined efforts to promote the peace agenda and ensure sustainable development in the South Caucasus. The historic trilateral meeting held at the White House on August 8 last year at your initiative created an entirely new and positive atmosphere in our region.

Azerbaijan and Armenia now live in peace and have established trade relations. I would also like to particularly note your country's continued support for infrastructure projects that promote regional stability and prosperity, especially the 'Trump International Peace and Prosperity Route,' which is expected to provide an alternative, reliable, and secure connection between Asia and Europe.

We attach great importance to developing the mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, which has tremendous potential. I am confident that by fully utilizing this potential and the existing opportunities, our joint efforts will further strengthen bilateral relations and deepen our strategic partnership.
