A bountiful grain harvest has been gathered for the first time from privately allocated farmland in the liberated districts of Khojaly and Aghdara.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, more than 1,000 hectares of land were cultivated with grain across the two districts. The strong harvest highlights the high fertility of the land, the effectiveness of modern agricultural practices, and the positive impact of state support.

Particular attention has been drawn to the active participation of residents in the "Land Lease" project implemented in Ballija village of Khojaly district. A total of 162 people applied for the project, and 132 successfully completed the training and examination process, earning certificates. Long-term lease agreements covering a total of 1,234.69 hectares of land were awarded to 89 certified participants. On average, each family received approximately 1.5 hectares of farmland.

To promote efficient agricultural production, nine agricultural cooperatives have been established in Ballija village. These cooperatives bring together 72 members cultivating 1,052.01 hectares of land. In addition, 12 family farms have been created, with 42 members managing a combined 152.68 hectares.

The successful results of the first planting season are expected to make a significant contribution to providing employment opportunities for residents returning to their native lands under the Great Return Program, restoring agricultural production, and strengthening the region's economic potential. They also lay a solid foundation for Khojaly and Aghdara to become among Azerbaijan's leading grain-producing regions in the years ahead.
