Singer Manaf Agayev Denies Reports of His Detention

Reports have circulated claiming that Azerbaijani singer Manaf Agayev was detained by law enforcement authorities.

According to Globalinfo.az, the alleged detention was linked to a complaint filed by Manset.az Editor-in-Chief Ali Valiyev, who reportedly claimed that he had been threatened in Agayev's name.

Contacted by Globalinfo.az, Agayev denied the reports, calling them false.

"The reports about my detention are completely unfounded. As you can see, I personally answered your phone call. I only received a call from the Narimanov District Police Department, informing me that journalist Ali Valiyev had filed a complaint against me. Tomorrow, I will go and give my statement," Agayev said.
