Musk’s Controversial 2036 Prediction

Technology giant Elon Musk continues to make bold statements suggesting that artificial intelligence (AI) and humanoid robots will fundamentally transform the global economic order in the coming years.

According to Qafqazinfo, speaking in an interview with The Economist, the billionaire suggested that in roughly 10 years, a new era could begin in which people would no longer need to work to make a living and money would largely lose its current significance.

Musk’s most controversial prediction concerns the year 2036.

The billionaire emphasized that within 10 years, artificial intelligence and robotic technologies could become capable of mass-producing all the goods and services people need. This, he said, would represent a major turning point for the economy:

“By 2036, money will have no significance.”

According to Musk’s scenario, the future labor market will change in two major ways:

“Artificial intelligence will take over intellectual fields such as software development, analysis, finance, law and engineering. Humanoid robots will replace human labor in manufacturing, logistics, maintenance and other physical sectors. This development will consign the traditional model of people earning income by selling their time and labor to the history books. As a result, working will no longer be a necessity for survival, but rather a personal choice or hobby.”
